0.75 FTE - Day Shift 7:00am to 5:30 pm Starting Pay - $20.40 to $29.12 (based on experience) Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience. Qualifications:
- Prior computer experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Vital sign measurement (training available)
- CNA experience preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills required
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answers patient questions and provides directional needs to navigate within the department.
- Attends to patient treatment needs and/or treatment support under the direct supervision of an occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, physical therapist assistant, and/or massage therapist.
- Attends education and training seminars as assigned in Cornerstone and/or assigned by department leadership.
- Orders and stocks department supplies utilizing ordering platforms (Oracle, Beckley's, linen) per weekly/monthly review. Stocks supplies as first in, first out organization to minimize risk of under-utilization of product prior to expiration potential. Respective to all locations: Ortho OT, Hospital Med/Surg, Elton Hills, Northwest, and Lake City.
- Orders specialty patient equipment needs as directed by department manager or lead.
- Completes basic rooming standards per departmental guidelines as/if needed such as obtaining blood pressure, weight, height, and/or temperature when directed by therapist.
- Departmental cleaning duties (including treatment rooms, open gym space, restrooms) according to infection control practice requirements following any patient use of the space and/or patient use of any/all equipment. Attends to use of correct cleaner to minimize risk of damage to specialty equipment.
- Manages daily, weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly monitoring and cleaning requirements to complete cleaning and records cleaning as indicated respective to appropriate timeline.
- Rotates to desk space visible to the team to be readily available to assist with patient care support.
- Rochester Northwest Clinic location: Serves as Information Desk for the lower-level check in, directing patients as needed, including Radiology and Sports Medicine/Athletic Performance (SMAP).
- Other duties as assigned.
