POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Student Life: University Housing & Dining is seeking a Temporary Kitchen Helper I for Catlett Market Place. Under direct supervision performs routine cleaning duties in an efficient, effective, and sanitary manner in the food service areas. Duties to include: Scrapes, sorts, stacks, and scrubs pots and pans, dishes, utensils, etc. in preparation for warewashing machine. Performs cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and general cleaning. Operates and maintains pot & pan/dish-washing machines and area in an efficient, effective, and sanitary manner. Supplies serving and preparation areas with clean dishes and utensils. Disposes of garbage and cleans garbage cans Maintains satisfactory sanitation level and applies established safety procedures in assigned work areas. Assists storeroom clerk as assigned. Assist in on-the-job training of students and other employees assigned to the food service sanitation area. POSITION BASICS: Hourly Rate:$17.66 WORK SCHEDULE: Work Hours: 10:00am-7:00pm or 12:00pm-9:00pm Additional Information: Temporary Position ending 10/31/2026 BACKGROUND CHECK:Successful candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
