Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).

Job Description:

Responsibilities

The Senior Contract Administrator will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of contract processing, from development to execution including reviewing contract request paperwork including scopes of work, budgets, and selection criteria, ensuring compliance. The Senior Contract Administrator will review and verify changes related to encumbering and disencumbering funding, conduct a secondary review of vouchers for payment, and will validate vendor banking information. The incumbent will help monitor the subcontract shared mailbox, provide technical assistance, and troubleshoot issues. The Senior Contract Administrator will also help to ensure procedures are kept up to date, document processes, and will contribute to system process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and two years of experience in contract coordination, contract administration or closely related experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience managing the administrative process of contracts and payments. Experience working on grant contracts for a state agency and/or non-profit. At least one year of experience using financial and/or grants management systems. At least two years of experience providing training and technical assistance. At least one year of experience drafting/updating procedures and preparing training materials.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.

Work Location Expectations

At HRI, the nature of hybrid and onsite work varies by position. Some roles require full onsite presence, while others allow a hybrid schedule. Managers determine the specific telecommuting expectations for each role based on operational needs and job responsibilities. If designated as hybrid, you will divide your time between working remotely and reporting onsite. Regardless of telecommuting status, all HRI employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their official work location and must reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Vermont.
