Pay Rate Details: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Responsibilities & Expectations: The Electric Motor and Gearbox Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, testing, and maintenance of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and related rotating equipment used in industrial and commercial applications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and the ability to diagnose equipment failures and restore equipment to OEM or customer specifications. * Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair:
Qualifications and Competencies: * High school diploma or GED required. * Technical/trade school training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or related field preferred. * 3+ years of experience repairing industrial electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, or rotating equipment preferred * Experience in an industrial service shop environment is highly desirable. * Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability. * Knowledge of rotating equipment and power transmission systems. * Ability to safely use precision measurement tools. * Ability to read mechanical schematics and repair documentation. * Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred. * Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Ability to lift up to 75 pounds * Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with heavy industrial equipment. * Ability to work in shop and field environment. * Comfortable using hand and power tools daily.
