Position Summary

Oversee nutrition graduate student services in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies, including academic advisement, student activities and dept. events, academic study and travel programs, student recruitment, and new student orientation. Serve as liaison to central School and University administrative offices to facilitate requests or resolve problems concerning academic records, graduation, and professional credentialing. Partner with Advisement Staff and Faculty to complete the accreditation process. Oversee and manage program website and social media accounts. Work with the Program Director on administrative tasks as needed. Host events to build community and increase student knowledge of the profession.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Master's Degree in Nutrition or closely related field. Registered Dietician credential.

Required Experience:
3+ years practice as a registered dietitian in a clinical, community, or other nutrition-related setting.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with various computer applications, especially creation, data input, and maintenance of current data for databases.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
RD certification is preferred.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $84,700.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
