What you'll do:

SUMMARY:

We
are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable /
Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our shared services AR/AP team based in
Bristol, Indiana. This position is
responsible for overseeing the daily accounts receivable and accounts payable
operations supporting multiple company locations across several states. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader
who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is committed to process improvement,
and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions within a shared services environment.
  • Lead and develop the AR/AP team by providing coaching, training, performance feedback, and ongoing support.
  • Coordinate and oversee weekly payment runs, ensuring payments are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer payments, vendor invoices, credit memos, and cash applications.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reporting.
  • Monitor aging reports and collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding receivables and vendor issues.
  • Partner with operations and other departments to resolve invoicing, pricing, and payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and coordinate the annual 1099 reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Accounting Manager to prepare and maintain the company's weekly cash forecast, providing insights into cash flow and working capital needs.
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and supporting audit activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
  • Support special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
What you need to be successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of related experience including supervisory experience leading and developing others.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Elevated level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
