What you'll do:
SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor position is a member of the leadership team and responsible for supervising warehouse staff and daily activities. The role is responsible for tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods/materials, and train, assign warehouse associate staff and meeting KPI's.To be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor you should be experienced in optimizing warehousing processes and be an effective team leader. An outstanding Warehouse Supervisor should be dependable and have excellent organizational and time management skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety, and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory * Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse team members * Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity. * Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers. * Receive, unpack, pack, load, issue, store and deliver materials, supplies or equipment. * Complete packing slips for shipments as assigned. * Route, schedule, pack and prepare orders for delivery; load vehicles; schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups * Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required * Observe health and safety regulations, maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition * Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget-related needs; assist in the bid process for various supplies as required * Perform other duties as assigned What you need to be successful:
QUALIFICATIONS: * HS Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred) * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role in inventory control, warehousing, customer service, material handling, or supply chain operations * APICS certification preferred * Basic understanding of ERP and warehousing processes * Ability to plan daily activities but react with a high sense of urgency * Able to create and follow established procedures * Ability and proficiencies to operate warehouse equipment * Strong organization and time management skills necessary to manage competing demands * Practical knowledge of Lean principles * Commitment to providing excellent customer support * Positive attitude * Proven ability to plan and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines * Creative and innovative team player * Intermediate computer skills are required * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities * Strong: o Communication skills, verbal and written o Leadership attributes and interpersonal skills o Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Willing to: o Maintain a flexible and extended work schedule as needed to accomplish objectives Why Aebi Schmidt Group?
