Role Summary

The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) provides direct, hands-on support of the daily administration and execution within the assigned activity and is responsible for coordinating with the Contractor Activity Manager (CAM) to manage physical, personnel, and information security for Special Access Programs (SAPs).In addition to the CSSO role, this position will also be a member of the GDLS Industrial Security team which is responsible for management of clearances, classified rooms, classified documents, and government audits of GDLS collateral/NISP programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in DoW and/or IC security, with at least 3 to 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working within a Special Access Program environment.
  • Completion of foundational CDSE/STEPP security training is required within 90 days of appointment; SAP-related training is highly desirable
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance
  • A strong working knowledge of SAP security policies and procedures is required. Proficiency with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and other security management software is also necessary.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of technologies and applications aligned with ICD 705 Technical Specifications.
  • Proficient in various types of information technology applications, such as Microsoft Office (MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), SharePoint and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail are required. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-security environment.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, provide timely updates, and communicate status to all stakeholders

Additional Information

  • This position may require occasional travel to various US locations
  • Availability to work outside regular business hours as needed,to address critical issues.
  • This position must possess an active Top Secret security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
