Production Utility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Splices rolls of foam together.
• Measures and ensures correctness of product specifications.
• Keeps foam properly guides to avoid unscheduled shutdowns.
• Provides lead operator with accurate input information and ensures proper rotation of inventory.
• Assist in product changeovers.
• Helps move rolls.
• Keeps area clean, organized and operational.
• Has ability to perform simple arithmetic including fractions & decimals.
• Must be able to read, understand and comply with plant and company policies and procedures such as S.O.P., S.E.P., ETC. which are all written in English.
• Must be able to fill out quality records and other production-related reports.
• Mentor new employees
• Must be able to assist maintenance with repairs and adjustment of the machine.
• Keep your area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5s standards.
• Communicate with supervisor when non-conforming product.
• Stops production to correct quality problems.
• Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
• Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process
