We are seeking a Principal SAP Architect & Delivery Lead to guide Molex's global SAP landscape and drive execution of our S/4 transformation. This hands-on architecture and delivery role will translate business needs into practical SAP designs, coordinate global delivery teams, and ensure consistent, high-quality solutions. Working knowledge of S/4 and familiarity with transformation concepts are expected. The successful candidate will combine strong SAP architecture and broad functional knowledge with delivery planning, design governance, integration and data oversight, AMS coordination, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management.
Our Team
The Global ERP team supports Molex business operations across regions and functions. We work with internal stakeholders, plants, AMS teams, and strategic partners to keep the current SAP environment stable while modernizing it through S/4. Our focus is on simple and scalable architecture, reliable integrations, trusted data, consistent global processes, and measurable business outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Drive S/4 delivery across discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization; align the roadmap, global template, deployment plan, milestones, risks, and dependencies with business and technology teams.
- Govern SAP architecture and standards across S/4HANA, BTP, applications, integrations, data, security, analytics, and infrastructure; promote standard SAP, clean core, and scalable solutions.
- Coordinate Solution Architects, functional leads, business analysts, integration and data specialists, and AMS teams to align priorities, remove blockers, clarify ownership, and maintain schedules.
- Govern integration standards and interfaces between SAP and planning, PLM, MES, warehouse, CRM, procurement, trade, data, reporting, and other platforms; reduce point-to-point complexity through governed SAP BTP APIs.
- Lead data architecture, migration, cleansing, reconciliation, archiving, master data governance, reporting, and ownership; partner with business owners to improve material, customer, supplier, finance, manufacturing, planning, and quality data.
- Partner with process owners, plant leaders, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Data, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and executive sponsors to translate business needs into sound SAP solutions.
- Manage vendors: Hold system integrators, AMS providers, and technology partners accountable for deliverables, quality, milestones, risks, issues, and commercials.
- Provide cross-functional design oversight: Ensure integrated design across Finance, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Trade, Maintenance, Master Data, and Reporting.
- Drive governance and decisions: Lead architecture forums, document decisions, resolve design issues, manage technical debt and scope, and escalate risks early.
- Support change and adoption: Prepare business teams through communication, design engagement, testing, cutover, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.
Core SAP Functional and Technical Skills Needed
- SAP S/4 Architecture - end-to-end solution and technical architecture
- SAP ECC S/4 transformation - migration strategy, system conversion, brownfield/greenfield/selective transition
- SAP Clean Core - standardization, extensibility and minimizing custom code
- SAP BTP - extension, integration and application architecture
- SAP Fiori / UI5 - Fiori architecture and user experience
- ABAP / ABAP on HANA - understanding of custom development and remediation
- SAP HANA, SAP API / OData / REST & SAP Master Data & Migration Tools
- SAP security & authorizations - roles, access controls and segregation of duties
- SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM - lifecycle, testing and implementation governance
- Testing architecture - SIT, UAT, regression and automated testing
- Technical cutover & deployment - mock conversions, downtime planning and go-live readiness
- Functional knowledge: cross-module manufacturing domain expertise across PP, MM, QM, EWM, PM/EAM, SD and FI/CO.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- 15+ years of SAP experience, including significant responsibility as a Principal Architect, Senior Architect, Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or SAP delivery leader.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of SAP S/4 and familiarity with the key stages of a transformation program, including design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate global SAP delivery teams across business functions, regions, and onshore and offshore locations.
- Strong architecture experience across S4, SAP BTP, integrations, data, security, reporting, and cloud or infrastructure decisions.
- Broad functional understanding across all major SAP domains, with deep expertise in at least three areas.
- Experience governing integrations and data migration in a complex global environment with multiple SAP and non-SAP platforms.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business leaders, plant teams, technology groups, and executive sponsors.
- Successful experience managing system integrators, AMS providers, and other vendors for scope, quality, risk, schedule, and outcomes.
- Strong communication, architecture judgment, delivery management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in global manufacturing, electronics, discrete manufacturing, or another complex multi-plant environment.
- Experience with RISE with SAP, private cloud, clean core, SAP BTP, and modern API-led integration patterns.
- Knowledge of Signavio, Kinaxis, PLM, MES, EWM, GTS, MDG, Central Finance, SAP Business Data Cloud, Snowflake, Power BI, OpenText, or Celonis.
- Experience with SAP BW is a plus.
- A delivery-focused approach that combines business partnership, architecture discipline, cross-functional coordination, accountability, and timely decision-making.
For this role, we anticipate paying $180,000 - $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
