Armed Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol

As a Armed Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public library location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff at public library locations while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activities according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of library buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment, including a firearm, in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, training, and site-specific post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
