As aNewborn Hearing Screener, you willprovidenewborn hearing screening under the supervision of a licensedAudiologist andperform clerical/administrative and office support functions as directed.

Primary Duties:

1. Conducts newborn hearing screenings using both otoacoustic emissions and automated auditory brainstem response testing equipment.

1. Identifieswhich babies to screen and follows correct infant handling procedures.Screening is done according to written clinic protocol asevidencedby competency-based skills training.

1. Performs data management duties related to the screening program.Entersscreening results into the trackingsystemand follow-up letters are generated and mailed to theappropriate people.

1. Maintains newborn hearing screening equipment, followingappropriate manufacturerguidelines and infection control protocol.

1. Participates in meetings and on committees andrepresentsthe department and hospital in community outreach efforts.Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Someexperiencewith computerspreferred.
