Job summary

The Embedded Firmware Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and validation of embedded software and firmware for power conversion and battery management systems. This role involves programming, testing, troubleshooting DPS or microcontrollers, and promoting model-based design techniques during the New Product Introduction process. The engineer collaborates with hardware and system engineers to deliver integrated solutions.

Responsibilities



  • DPS or microcontrollers Programming: Develop and implement firmware for power electronics and battery management system products.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform testing and debugging of firmware using debugging tools, simulators, and hardware-in-the-loop setups.
  • Model-Based Design: Utilize and promote model-based design methodologies, including simulation, modeling, and automatic code generation to improve the NPI process.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, system engineers, and other teams to design and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation such as specifications, design documents, test plans, and DVT reports.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in embedded firmware development for embedded systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DPS or microcontrollers programming.
  • Experience with C or C coding for DPS or microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
