Fueling your passion

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you are leading supplier quality initiatives to ensure exceptional product quality, supplier compliance, and manufacturing excellence. You are partnering with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to drive supplier qualification, quality improvements, and new product introductions. You areutilizingadvanced quality methodologies to enhance supplier performance, minimize defects, andoptimizecost of quality. You are serving as a technical leader in supplier quality, helping ensure products are delivered on time, every time, and in full compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you are responsible for:

  • Acting as the focal point for supplier quality execution supporting critical and highly engineered products in the United States.

  • Driving quality performance for assigned suppliers through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Leading supplier approval and qualification processes through robust onboarding programs.

  • Developing and promoting a strong Quality Management System (QMS) culture across supplier facilities.

  • Partnering with Sourcing Leaders to manage supplier changes, engineering changes, product transfers, and New Product Introductions (NPI).

  • Collaborating with suppliers and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements and operational excellence.

  • Delivering results through key supplier quality metrics including yield, defect rates, corrective actions, and supplier performance.

  • Utilizing supplier scorecards, audits, and improvement plans to drive supplier compliance and performance.

  • Driving Lean and Six Sigma principles across supplier operations and quality processes.

  • Providing advanced quality engineeringexpertisefor new products, manufacturing technologies, and automated processes.

  • Specifying, developing, andvalidatingadvanced quality systems, testing methods, and inspection equipment.

  • Supporting investigations of major quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Acting as a quality consultant to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams for product and process improvements.

  • Developing product acceptance criteria, testing procedures, and quality standards for complex products and manufacturing processes.

  • Providing leadership onspecial qualityprojects and supplier development initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have abachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Have10+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Vendor Quality functions.

  • Have hands-on experience with one or more manufacturing processes such as investment casting, sand casting, forging, machining, fabrication, welding, heat treatment, dimensional inspection, coating, or NDT inspection methods.

  • Have experience managing supplier qualifications and working with cross-functional and/or global teams to drive supplier improvement initiatives.

  • Have the ability toreview technical documents and components against standards such as ASTM, ASME, PED, IEC, ANSI, CE, CSA, UL, or other recognized industry and international standards.

  • Havestrong knowledge of inspection and measurement systems, GD&T, and engineering drawings.

  • Have hands-onexpertisein one or more of the following:

  • Machining and raw material processing techniques.

  • Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP), FMEA, and Control Plans.

  • Tooling and fixtureselection.

  • Quality control, inspection techniques, supplier process validation, or NDT methods including RT, UT, and LPI.

  • Havestrongknowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Have strong Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) awareness and regulatory knowledge.

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Have willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.

  • Have the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Desired Qualifications

  • Have experience within one or more highly regulated or technically demanding industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Aerospace, Defense, Industrial Manufacturing, Medical Devices, or Nuclear.

  • Have sourcing or supplier management experience.

  • Have Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.

  • Have international business or supplier development experience.

  • Have Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001 or equivalent Quality Management Systems).

  • Have strong negotiation and supplier engagement skills.

  • Havedemonstratedleadership skills and the ability to guide and influence teams.

  • Have experience supporting products, suppliers, or projects subject to stringent quality, regulatory, or customer-specific requirements.

  • Experience supporting nuclear programs, suppliers, codes, standards, or quality requirements is preferred but notrequired.
