Primary Purpose of Department
The primary purpose of the Performance & amp; Analytics unit is to enhance operational performance within Facilities Management by integrating quality assurance, data analysis, and process improvement into a unified, closed-loop system. The unit systematically captures and analyzes performance data, transforming field observations and operational information into actionable insights that identify trends, risks, and high-impact opportunities.

Functioning as a performance engine for the organization, the unit leads targeted, data-driven improvement initiatives that proactively address issues, optimize processes, and reduce operational inefficiencies. Through a continuous feedback approach, the unit ensures that improvement efforts are effectively implemented, measured, and sustained.

This function serves as a central driver of consistency, efficiency, and informed decision-making, strengthening overall operational effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position serves as an advanced analytical partner within Facilities Management, independently evaluating complex operational and financial information to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. The position determines appropriate analytical approaches, evaluation criteria, and methods for interpreting data based on the nature of the business question and available information. The position translates analytical findings into meaningful visualizations, insights, and recommendations that support leadership decision-
making, resource prioritization, service delivery, and operational improvement.

In addition to analytical responsibilities, the position leads assigned process improvement initiatives and works collaboratively with operational staff, process improvement practitioners, and other subject matter experts to evaluate processes, identify root causes and inefficiencies, develop improvement recommendations, and assess the effectiveness of implemented changes. The position exercises independent judgment in determining analytical methods, evaluating alternatives, resolving complex data issues, and recommending actions within established
organizational objectives and policies.
Summary of Position Responsibilities

  • Determines the appropriate visualization methods based on the nature of the data, objective, and audience.
  • Designs and refines performance dashboards
  • Applies principles of data visualization and visual storytelling, and develops visual materials that support process improvement initiatives to include current-state assessments, performance comparisons, root cause analysis, and measurement of improvement results.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across Facilities Management
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for leadership
  • Integrate analytics with quality review findings and process improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate work management data (e.g., backlog, response times, labor utilization) to assess service delivery performance
  • Support strategic and operational planning through data analysis and scenario evaluation
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by identifying and resolving data integrity issues
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials for leadership and stakeholders
  • Serve as a consultative partner to operational units in interpreting performance data
  • Support performance monitoring activities, including data collection, validation, and reporting processes

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in data analysis, business analysis, operational performance evaluation, data visualization, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience interpreting complex data and developing insights or recommendations to support operational or organizational decision-making.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, higher education, or similar complex service environments.
  • Experience developing and applying KPIs, performance metrics, benchmarking methods, and operational dashboards.
  • Experience with data visualization and visual storytelling using Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with analytical and data-management tools such as Python, HTML, Excel, Smartsheet,
  • Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leading or participating in Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, business process analysis, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with process improvement practitioners or subject matter experts to evaluate and improve operational processes.
  • Familiarity with work management, CMMS, EAM, or other enterprise operational systems.
  • Experience identifying and resolving data integrity issues across multiple systems or data sources.
