Now Hiring: Senior Electrical Controls Engineer - Direct Hire Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $130,000 - $150,000/year + Bonus Take the lead in developing advanced automation, SCADA, PLC, and energy management control systems that power next-generation industrial and energy storage solutions. This is an opportunity for a senior-level engineer to own complex controls projects from concept through commissioning while making a direct impact on system performance, reliability, and customer success. Job Duties Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, RTAC, and industrial control systems Create controls architecture, functional specifications, and I/O documentation Develop and test embedded software and microcontroller-based control solutions Design and implement industrial communication networks, including Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, CAN, EtherCAT, and Profibus Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation Support integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, startup, and system optimization Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and controls reliability improvements Manage software, firmware, and configuration revision control Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, field service, and customers to resolve technical challenges Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field 5+ years of controls engineering experience Strong experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial communication systems Experience with product development, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing Proficiency with C programming; Python, embedded software, Git, or LabVIEW experience is a plus Knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, or industrial power systems preferred Ability to travel occasionally as needed Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Benefits vary by client and are confirmed at the time of offer.
