Overview

The Teamwork Experiences Group (TEX) focuses on teamwork as the product: how people-and increasingly artificial intelligence (AI) agents-share context, make decisions, and move work forward across chats, channels, meetings, communities, and tasks. Its portfolio-Teams, Engage, and Planner-spans this space.

We are looking for a Teamwork Experiences Senior Business Manager to drive headcount rigor, budget discipline, procurement effectiveness and some employee engagement projects while partnering with the Business Management Community, Engineering Teams, and Finance. We are also focused on being customer zero for the Teams, Engage, Planner and M365 platforms. This role will report to the Teamwork Experiences Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities

Headcount & Organizational Operations

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Chiefs of Staff to manage headcount (HC) and ensure alignment with approved budget.

  • Ensure Teamwork Experiences is operationally efficient in headcount tracking and reporting, maintain up-to-date records of current and planned headcount across teams; work with HC tracking stakeholders to improve workflows and look for agentic solutions to reduce operational toil in headcount management.

Financial Planning & Budget Management

  • Own and manage the organization's budget, planning, and forecasting processes, partnering with Finance and Chiefs of Staff. Ensure accuracy, alignment with business goals, and continued optimization.

  • Monitor budget performance on an ongoing basis, tracking actuals vs. plan and flagging variances with actionable recommendations.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Partner with the Procurement team to understand new initiatives and implement them with Chiefs of Staff, statement of work (SOW) and purchase order (PO) owners in Teamwork Experiences.

  • Advise on end-to-end procurement processes. Ensurealignment with procurement best practicesand drive efficiencies in sourcing and vendor management

Business Operations

  • Serve as a resourceful problem-solver across diverse business functions, removing obstacles and handling day-to-day operational issueson behalf of the Teamwork Experiences Group.

Employee Experience

  • Partner with the TEX Business Management Community on employee experience projects / programs.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experiencein financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to manage sensitive information responsibly.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced, changing environment.

Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
