Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned responsibilities, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, shipping and receiving locations, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
