Your Role

The Health Plan Product Development team is responsible for developing and implementing new products and strategies that support short- and long-term financial and membership growth across all of BSC's lines of business. The Senior Manager, Product Strategy will report to the Director, Product Strategy. In this role you will lead a team of product managers and consultants to design, develop, and deploy our multi-horizon product strategies and products as assigned. The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with a diverse set of stakeholders across the Ascendiun family of companies, including BlueShield, Stellarus, and Promise.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED plus 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree; master's degree in business (MBA), public health (MPH) or related field strongly preferred
  • Requires at least 8 years prior relevant experience, including at least 4 years of people management experience with direct responsibility for supervising, coaching, and evaluating direct reports
  • Requires experience leading a team of product managers and/or product strategists to establish and execute long-term and short-term product strategies
  • Requires strong financial and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience translating product strategy inputs into executable initiatives across at least one product or capability
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders to ensure delivery of product outcomes
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely to various audiences
  • Health plan product experience strongly preferred

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
