RN - Cardiac Electrophysiology Program, Westwood

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides age-specific nursing care in an outpatient Cardiac Clinical Electrophysiology clinic through direct patient care and telephone-based care coordination. Using the nursing process and collaborating with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare team members, the RN assesses patient needs, coordinates care, and documents all patient interactions in accordance with clinic and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and provide direct and indirect nursing care.
• Deliver patient and staff education, including pre-procedure teaching and follow-up care instructions.
• Prepare for and assist with medical and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, process medication refill requests, and coordinate authorization requests.
• Assist providers and Nurse Practitioners with MyChart messages, patient callbacks, and ongoing care coordination.
• Perform venipuncture, initiate and monitor IV infusions, and support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide immediate clinical support as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

The RN practices in accordance with American Nurses Association (ANA) standards and participates in activities related to ethics, patient advocacy, evidence-based practice, research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Salary Range: $65.76 - $97.76/hourly
