Provides in-person and/or synchronous instruction and supports students' independent computer-assisted learning in High School Equivalency (HSE) content areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics, Workforce Readiness, Career Training, and Student Success for adults. Develops students' study skills and academic proficiency to earn a high school equivalency diploma and transition to college or career pathways. Follows required curriculum contextualized to local in-demand industries, MCCCD fields of interest, and Arizona Adult Education Standards for instruction. Utilizes and integrates technology in the classroom to develop students' digital literacy skills. Essential Functions
70% - Provides in-person and/or synchronous instruction in High School Equivalency (HSE) content areas including HSE Foundations, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics, Workforce Readiness, Career Training, and Student Success using approved instructional methodologies. Delivers standards-based curriculum aligned to the Arizona Adult Education Content Standards through classroom preparation, curriculum implementation, assessment and/or grading, and meaningful student feedback. Follows all professional teaching standards as outlined in the Arizona Adult Education Teacher Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. Incorporates digital literacy and technology integration throughout instruction. Utilizes approved contextualized curriculum, the designated Learning Management System (LMS), and approved proxy platforms to deliver and manage instructional content. Minimum Qualifications
A. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Desired Qualifications
