Who You Are

As the Senior Web Developer/Designer, you design, build, and maintain the applications, agents, automations, and digital experiences that power Inovalon's marketing ecosystem. You bring full-stack engineering depth across Python, TypeScript, React, and modern agentic frameworks, along with the marketing technology knowledge needed to connect what you build to the platforms our teams use every day. You work closely with Marketing and cross-functional partners to deliver experiences that are effective, scalable, accessible, and aligned to Inovalon's brand.

What You'll Do

* Design, build, and deploy production AI features and agentic systems, including multi-agent orchestration, tool and function calling, retrieval and RAG patterns, structured output, memory and state management, prompt engineering, and human-in-the-loop approval flows.
* Develop and maintain production Python services, APIs, data pipelines, and automations that support internal tools and move data across business systems.
* Build responsive, accessible front-end applications in TypeScript and React, using Next.js for application, headless, and hybrid architectures.
* Maintain and extend Inovalon's internal agent ecosystem and the applications used by Marketing and Sales to improve daily productivity and execution.
* Create page layouts, component libraries, and scalable design systems that support consistent user experiences and rapid iteration across digital properties.
* Integrate solutions across the marketing technology stack, including Marketo, Salesforce, GA4, tag management, customer data flows, and experimentation platforms.
* Instrument and troubleshoot lead capture, routing, attribution, conversion tracking, and consent workflows to ensure campaigns and digital experiences perform correctly end to end.
* Optimize application and site performance through code splitting, image optimization, critical CSS, caching, CDN configuration, and server-side tuning to improve Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores.
* Strengthen security and reliability through least-privilege access, secret management, OWASP Top 10 mitigations, backup and rollback strategies, and CI/CD, release, and Git workflows.
* Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria, while clearly communicating progress, trade-offs, and timelines.

What You'll Need

* 6+ years of progressive experience building and shipping production software and digital experiences, including ownership across front-end and back-end development.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Expertise in production Python, including services, APIs, scripts, data pipelines, and third-party system integrations.
* Strong proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
* Hands-on experience building agentic systems using frameworks such as CrewAI, Mastra, LangGraph, or LangChain, including multi-agent orchestration, tool and function calling, retrieval or RAG, memory and state, and structured output.
* Practical experience with LLM API integration, prompt and context engineering, output evaluation, MCP servers, vector databases, and embeddings.
* Hands-on experience with marketing technology platforms, including Marketo, Salesforce, GA4, and tag management, with working knowledge of lead flow, campaign instrumentation, attribution, and consent.
* Working proficiency with WordPress, including custom themes and plugins, Gutenberg blocks, ACF or equivalent, PHP 8+, and MySQL.
* Knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS, design systems, component libraries, database fundamentals, accessibility standards, performance optimization, Git workflows, CI/CD, Docker, and common deployment environments.
* Fluency with AI-assisted development and design tools, and the ability to use them responsibly and securely.
* Must maintain a publicly accessible GitHub profile, personal website, or professional portfolio that demonstrates work built and contributed to, including code samples and at least one shipped agentic or AI-powered project.
* Demonstrate an open, inquisitive approach to learning, with the ability to adopt new tools, frameworks, and practices as the role and technology landscape evolve.
* Collaborate effectively with Marketing and cross-functional partners, influence decisions through expertise, and work through differing viewpoints to deliver strong outcomes.
* Adapt quickly to changing priorities, evolving business needs, and emerging technologies while staying focused on execution and quality.
* Apply creative thinking to solve technical and experience challenges, improve workflows, and design practical solutions that support business goals.
* Use analytical skills to interpret performance data, diagnose issues, evaluate trade-offs, and make evidence-based decisions.
* Nice to have: experience with Workato, n8n, Zapier, async Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, pandas, LLM evaluation frameworks, regression testing for non-deterministic output, Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, GEO/AEO, Sitecore XM/XP, Node-based build tooling, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, PHPUnit, REST and GraphQL APIs, and privacy, consent, HIPAA, and security practices for digital properties.
