Construction Superintendent, Megafactory & Megapod Manufacturing Tool Install

Tesla Motors, Inc.
United States, Texas, Brookshire
Sep 17, 2026
What to Expect

As an infrastructure Superintendent on Tesla's Tool Installation team, you will play a pivotal role in the buildout of Megafactory 3, Megapod, and future Megafactories - one of Tesla's most ambitious energy storage manufacturing programs to date. These next-generation factories are built on automation-driven design philosophies that significantly improve cost competitiveness, labor efficiency, and production output versus prior Megafactory generations.

This role demands high technical ability and exceptional attention to construction detail, specifically the activity sequencing required to deliver fast, efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing line installations across highly automated production systems. You will manage general contractors, subcontractors, and internal self-perform teams across trades to install highly automated production lines, collaborating cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and manufacturing as the factory transitions to production operations. From both the field and office, you will own budgets and schedules from program launching to full ramp. The role requires 40%-50% travel.

You will also support pre-construction planning and benchmark execution for future Megafactories.

  • Maintains a safe/clean work site, identifies and correct safety hazards/violations and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to quickly resolve field clashes
  • Reviews project plans, P&ID's, single-line diagrams, and determine the feasibility of construction as well as potential value engineering opportunities
