What You'll Do

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and vacuum tankers in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Transport materials between customer locations and processing facilities.
• Load and unload material using established operating procedures.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, DVIRs, and shipping documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety requirements.
• Follow established spill response and environmental procedures when necessary.
• Represent Synagro professionally with customers and the public.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Tanker endorsement.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings and DOT requirements.

Preferred:

• Previous tanker, vacuum truck, wastewater, biosolids, agricultural, construction, or industrial hauling experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment or vacuum loading systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry hoses and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Push, pull, bend, climb, squat, and work around equipment.
• Climb ladders and work at heights up to approximately 20 feet.
• Enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times per shift.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
• Perform physical tasks associated with tanker loading, unloading, and inspections.
