Mental Health Therapist

The Therapist, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) will provide therapeutic outpatient services within key frameworks to the parget populations of adults, children, youth, and families. In addition, this position provides clinical direction through the development and review of appropriate assessments, quality of services, and other service providers within the project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct service to members through individual, group, and/or family counseling/therapy, case consultation, and crisis intervention.
• Provides brief therapeutic modalities, including but not limited Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral and exposure-based therapy for trauma, harm reduction with a focus on substance use management / safer substance practices, WRAP, Adolescent-based DBT, Internal Family Systems.
• Conducts assessments of consumers utilizing a structured assessment protocol; ensures that all tools are completed, scored and entered into the EHR according to the protocol guidelines
• Completes the NOMS (National Outcomes Measures) and submits them timely.
• Coordinates treatment referrals with community mental health resources.
• Designs and delivers educational/therapeutic workshops, classes, or programs to meet the identified needs of adolescents.
• Provides crisis intervention services for consumers and related family consumers.
• Effectively manages a clinical caseload (up to 26 sessions per week),
• Works in partnership with internal departments, all components of the CCBHC, and designated collaborating agencies
• Provide clinical direction as to the development and review of members' Individual Treatment Plans (ITP), and ensure the integration of the mental health recovery philosophy within those plans. Clinical direction may include the need to document the frequency of services. Development and review requires face-to-face meetings with client or guardian to identify goals, objectives, special mental health service needs and the identification of staff responsible for delivering services.
• Maintain the quality and validity of reports and individual case records according to CARF,
• Medicare, Medicaid, DMH, DCFS, TPSN, and other governing bodies as appropriate.

• Assist with special tasks as assigned, including but not limited to: writing proposals,
• publications, annual reports, and may represent the agency at meetings, attend conferences,
• consult with and train outside visitors, supervise students, and orient and train new staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Marginal Duties & Responsibilities:

• May be required to work flexible schedules and be available to work on weekends or evenings.

Education:

• Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field required.
• Licensed Professional in the Healing Arts (LPHA) is strongly preferred: Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Professional Counselor holding a permanent license from the Clinical Counselor Licensing Act.

Experience:

• At least two (2) years of prior child/young adult therapy experience.

Skills/Certifications:

• Background in systemic psychotherapy, flexibility working across levels of the systems (e.g., individual, youth, couple, family, subsystems) and competence incorporating evidence-based treatment modalities into their practice.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated skills and competencies to work with individuals with a variety of behavioral health needs.
