Liability Claims, Senior Analyst

This position is responsible for providing oversight of third-party claim administrators (TPA's) and outside legal partners and managing complex, high-exposure cross-jurisdictional litigated liability claims for the company across a multi-state footprint.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Directs and audits TPAs handling high exposure claims to ensure strict adherence to corporate guidelines, accurate reserving, and aggressive resolution timelines including processing monthly TPA Claim funding invoices, prefunding requests, and carrier invoices

• Coordinates claims activities for litigated files

• Partners with outside counsel, third party TPA's, and carriers to resolved litigated claims

• Synthesizes complex legal, medical, and factual data into clear, concise updates

• Presents claim and litigation updates and claim evaluations to internal leadership

• Builds and maintains strong, effective professional relationships with TPA's, insurance carriers, panel law firms, internal corporate stakeholders, and other external partners, to ensure cohesive alignment and effective claim resolutions

• Maintains updated loss runs utilizing Microsoft Excel

• Evaluates, approves, and maintains accurate reserves for indemnity and expense on claim files

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years total liability claims adjuster experience

• 5+ years must be directly dedicated to adjusting or oversight of high-exposure, complex litigated auto liability and general liability claims. Experience in other lines such as workers' compensation, personal lines, non-litigated claims, or other coverage lines will not count towards the 5+ year specialized requirement.

• Active Texas All-lines adjuster license with demonstrated experience in multi-state legal jurisdictions

• Experience utilizing claims management software systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution is preferred. In lieu of a degree, equivalent extensive multi-state jurisdiction liability experience will be considered.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, and data sorting for loss runs)

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Position is based in an office environment
• Occasional travel to off-site locations is required.
• Occasionally exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions.
• Requires constant prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment.
• Must constantly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance.
• Must be able to constantly communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
