The Mechanical Maintenance Foreman is responsible for the safe and reliable execution of assigned mechanical maintenance work while assisting the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor with coordinating the maintenance schedule. The Foreman provides technical expertise, diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical equipment, and provides daily guidance and coaching to Maintenance Technicians and mechanical contractors. This is a hands-on working foreman role that combines direct mechanical maintenance work with day-to-day leadership and coordination responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
- Execute assigned mechanical maintenance work, including pipefitting, equipment installation/removal, pump packing and seal replacement, equipment rebuilds, and preventative/predictive maintenance.
- Assist the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor with coordinating daily maintenance activities and ensuring scheduled work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Maintenance Technicians and external mechanical contractors.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating and fixed mechanical equipment and process machinery.
- Complete required SAP/CMMS transactions, safety assessments, and life-critical work, including line/equipment opening, confined space entry, and work at heights.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the mechanical maintenance team.
Technical Competencies
Demonstrated proficiency in equipment installation/alignment, flanged joint closure, lubrication, scaffolding, packing and mechanical seals, precision measurement, equipment rebuilds, fabrication, and crane operations/rigging. Competency may be demonstrated through certification, company-approved testing, or verified experience. Experience / Skills
- Relevant maintenance technician certificate and 7+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of rotating and fixed mechanical systems, maintenance methods, technical drawings, and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior leadership or lead-worker experience preferred.
- Experience with a maintenance CMMS; SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- PSM chemical facility and ISO 9001 experience preferred.

- Compensation We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program. In accordance with Washington state requirements, the established pay range for this position is Min $78,900 to $131,500 per year (non-exempt, eligible for overtime), depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
