Maintenance Repairman 1 - Shikellamy State Park Complex

This position supports park operations by performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections across multiple facilities and systems. As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Facility Maintenance: Repair buildings, restrooms, and park structures using basic carpentry, plumbing, and masonry skills
• Equipment Operation: Operate tractors, lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other machinery for grounds and facility work
• Dam Support: Assist with inspections, debris removal, and minor repairs at the Adam T. Bower Memorial Dam
• Marina Tasks: Install, remove, and maintain docks, watercraft equipment, and marina systems
• Grounds Care: Clear trails, remove litter, maintain landscaping, and perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal
• Public Assistance: Provide information to visitors and share park rules when needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position may require overtime and travel.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
