Job Duties

• Operate spot-welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment, fixtures, and machine settings as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurements.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
• Position, align, and secure parts before welding to ensure accurate assembly.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality, strength, and proper dimensions.
• Perform basic grinding, deburring, drilling, cutting, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Identify defects or issues and make necessary adjustments or corrections.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience performing welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding equipment setup, welding techniques, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to accurately measure, fit, and prepare materials prior to welding.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.
• Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Fabrication Welding Associate.
• Previous spot welding, MIG welding, fabrication, or metal manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
