Position Details:

As part of the Gobal Center team, you will report to Vice President of Epidemiology & Evidence-Based Interventions You will provide scientific and operational leadership for the Global Center's portfolio of randomized controlled trials and implementation science studies across country-based activities. You will be accountable for the design, implementation, and successful execution of intervention research programs conducted in partnership with governments, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and community partners across multiple international settings. Additionally, you will oversee research staff, implementation partners, and external collaborators while ensuring scientific rigor, operational excellence, and achievement of study objectives.

This is an exempt, full-time position located at our Midtown Manhattan headquarters. This position requires a minimum of four (4) days per week.

You Will:

• Provide senior oversight of the implementation of complex research initiatives, ensuring that studies are executed effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with research protocols, organizational priorities, timelines, budgets, and established quality standards.

• Lead the scientific and operational oversight of randomized controlled trials, implementation science studies, and intervention research programs across multiple countries and implementation settings.

• Monitor research implementation across projects, proactively identifying operational risks, resource constraints, competing priorities, dependencies, and potential delays; develop mitigation strategies and escalate significant issues to leadership as appropriate.

• Directly manage the implementation of one or more large-scale, complex research projects, including development and management of project plans, timelines, budgets, staffing and resource needs, milestones, risks, and deliverables from study start-up through implementation and closeout.

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with research institutions, government entities, healthcare systems, and implementation partners supporting country-based research programs.

• Provide subject matter expertise, senior guidance and problem-solving support for complex study implementation activities, including study start-up, regulatory and Institutional Review Board requirements, site readiness, participant recruitment, field operations, data collection, research platforms, translation and cultural adaptation, and data quality

• Facilitate communication and coordination across vendors, investigators, research managers, research scientists, data and measurement teams, program teams, operations staff, and organizational leadership to support effective implementation and timely resolution of project issues.

• Ensure compliance with research protocols, ethical and regulatory requirements, data quality standards, and organizational policies across all projects.

You Have:

• PhD in public health, epidemiology, psychology, behavioral or social sciences with a minimum 10 years of senior level, operations, or project management experience in global settings

• Significant experience managing complex research studies, including multi-site research, randomized controlled trials (RCTs),implementation science studies, and/or other interdisciplinary research programs, preferably involving multiple institutional or international partners.

• Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, including successfully leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking.

• Must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.

• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), systems thinking, and an understanding of project, financial, and organizational management.

• Able to rapidly build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders across diverse cultural and institutional settings.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and execution.

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
