About This Role

The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University is seeking a digital content specialist to develop and distribute content that promotes the college to prospective students and other external audiences. This position coordinates digital communications to ensure consistent, timely and strategic messaging across college and departmental websites, email, digital signage, social media and other digital channels that advance college programs and priorities.

As part of the Engineering Communications and Marketing team, the digital content specialist collaborates with partners across the college and university to coordinate messaging, maintain brand consistency and uphold high standards for external communications.

A successful digital content specialist will:
* Plan, develop and distribute digital content and communications for internal and external audiences.
* Maintain integrated content calendars and collaborate with college and department partners to identify communication needs, priorities and opportunities.
* Administer and maintain digital platforms, including college and departmental websites, ensuring content is accurate, accessible and consistent with university brand and communication standards.
* Contribute to social media planning and create, schedule and publish content across college social media platforms.
* Monitor and analyze website, email and social media performance to evaluate engagement and identify opportunities to improve digital communications.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and four years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
  • Experience with social media marketing.
  • Exposure to proofing, editing and design of marketing materials.
  • Exposure to a content management system or a customer relationship management platform.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
