What You'll Do:
- Layout, build, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and electromechanical assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
- Support engineering activities involving prototype hardware, experimental circuitry, specialized test equipment, and laboratory systems.
- Construct, calibrate, align, diagnose, adjust, and maintain equipment and devices.
- Perform calibration and alignment verification activities.
- Prepare compounds, solutions, and materials required for testing and laboratory activities.
- Construct, modify, debug, and test tools, fixtures, and equipment using drawings and engineering instructions.
- Conduct engineering experiments and document results under engineering guidance.
- Organize and analyze technical data to identify trends, root causes, and process improvement opportunities.
- Build tooling and fixtures to support unique engineering requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement practical process enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project schedules and technical objectives.
What You'll Bring:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ year of experience supporting engineering laboratories, manufacturing environments, prototype development, or technical operations.
- 1+ year of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or modifying electronic or electromechanical systems.
- 1+ year of experience using laboratory equipment, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- 1+ year of experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, or technical documentation.
- 2+ years of experience working in engineering development, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with equipment calibration, alignment, testing, or validation activities.
- Fundamental knowledge of electronics, electromechanical systems, or related engineering disciplines.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience documenting technical activities.
- Ability to fabricate simple hardware, fixtures, and support equipment.
- Experience supporting prototype development and engineering test programs.
- Experience with soldering, electronic assembly, or repair activities.
- FCC First Class License and/or Solder Repair Certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, or other electronic test equipment.
- Ability to independently organize work and manage multiple technical assignments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency and operational performance.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
