THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a Principal Talent Acquisition Lead who can balance team leadership with hands-on sourcing and closing. You'll lead by example by taking points on critical searches across engineering leadership and strategic G&A.

As our Lead, you'll own your own requisitions and help keep the team running efficiently. You'll serve as a true right-hand partner to TA management, which includes stepping in when needed and actively helping build, train, and scale the recruiting team. You'll support TA leadership with resolving search bottlenecks, refining our day-to-day recruiting process, and maintaining high standards for how we partner with hiring managers across the company.

This position is ideal for an adaptable recruiter who excels in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities with ease while maintaining compliance, and enjoys tackling complex searches.

This is a full-time role based at Silvus Technologies' headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take the lead in partnering directly with senior leadership to provide clear market data, compensation guidance, and pipeline updates.
• Own full-cycle hiring for key senior and hard-to-fill roles across Engineering (Hardware, Software, Wireless, Systems) and Corporate G&A.
• In partnership with TA leadership, drive momentum to help solve hiring challenges, clear team bottlenecks, and support operational tasks.
• Partner closely with the TA Manager to build and scale the talent team; assisting with hiring, onboarding, and balancing workload for new recruiter team members.
• Train new hires on recruiting tools/platforms, best practices with ATS data cleanup, etc.
• Directly manage, guide, and mentor a small group of recruiters.
• Lead and support by creating sourcing playbooks, streamline recruiter workflows, and maintain a high standard for both candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Support with interviewer and hiring manager training. This includes training in how to draft job descriptions, prepare for interviews and select interviewers, help with question banks and interview feedback, etc.
• Support with tracking KPIs/metrics and time to fill, pipeline health, offer acceptance, and understanding where there are gaps or areas for improvement.
• Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
• Travel Requirement - 10% for campus recruiting or recruiting events.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10 + years of full lifecycle recruiting experience in both technical and corporate roles.
• Direct recruiting experience in hardware, or complex engineering environments, such as defense, aerospace, telecommunications, robotics, autonomous systems, or related deep-tech industries.
• At least two years of experience supervising and mentoring a team of recruiters.
• Familiarity with recruiting metrics and using data to guide search strategies and hiring manager conversations.
• Strong experience with data-driven sourcing toolsets (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Handshake, Boolean/X-ray searches).
• Demonstrated experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Workday, Lever, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, balance multiple searches at once, and stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
• A solution-oriented mind who naturally identifies bottlenecks or hiring friction and brings actionable solutions to the table.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Experience supporting a high-growth company with competing deadlines and multiple demands.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly when business priorities shift.
• Demonstrated experience managing various funnels, functions, and levels of candidates while tracking progress throughout the recruitment process.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Office environment.

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

COMPENSATION: $155,000 - $175,000 * / annually

*The target hiring range for this position is $160,000 - $165,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's background and relevant experience in specialized recruiting, leadership, and job-related qualifications.
