Stellantis is seeking a highly motivated Test Lab Technician to join the Vehicle Impact Team at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive component functionality and demonstrated experience identifying and diagnosing the root causes of mechanical and electrical system failures. This position requires a hands-on, high-energy individual with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems and be comfortable supporting a wide range of vehicle development and validation activities. The Test Lab Technician will collaborate closely with Program Engineers across all vehicle platforms to prepare vehicles for impact testing, support post-impact inspections and analysis, troubleshoot test-related issues, and develop innovative solutions for component testing within the Energy Management and Development (EMD) Lab. The role also involves vehicle modifications, prototype builds, component installation, fabrication support, and assisting with the execution of safety and development testing programs. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and modify vehicles for crash and impact testing activities. Install, troubleshoot, and validate electrical and mechanical systems. Perform vehicle build-up and build-down electrical activities for development testing programs. Support post-impact vehicle inspections and failure analysis investigations. Assist engineers with root cause analysis of component and system failures. Support component testing activities within the EMD Lab. Maintain accurate documentation of test preparations Work collaboratively with engineering, laboratory, and technical personnel to achieve program objectives. Follow all laboratory safety requirements and operating procedures. Basic Qualifications: Associates degree in electronics or vehicle electronics Minimum TWO (2) years of auto electrical diagnosis experience Strong overall vehicle knowledge and electrical skills Valid driver's license Basic computer skills Effective communication skills Great attitude and punctuality Initiative taking and strong work ethic required Able to work in a team environment Able to work with multiple levels of management Preferred Qualifications: Minimum THREE (3) years auto dealership service experience Experience with Chrysler Diagnostic Application Experience reading electrical schematics and work instructions Experience with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities Stellantis is seeking a highly motivated Test Lab Technician to join the Vehicle Impact Team at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
