Production Associate II Assembler - Eugene, OR

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the VP, Operations performs production activities including assemble and test electronic/mechanical components to support production requirements.

Job Functions:

Essential:

• Assembly of component parts and top-level assemblies
• Acceptance of top-level assemblies in accordance with acceptance test procedures
• Recommend product quality hold
• Recommend manufacturing process changes
• Initiate internal corrective actions
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Required Experience: 1-3 years electro-mechanical assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's degree in electronics preferred.

Required Skills: Skills expected include ability to use small hand tools and measuring devices (e.g. torque drivers, calipers, arbor press) Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum. Ability to recognize and effectively handle small parts. Basic computer skills (MS Office). Experience with test equipment (signal generators, power supplies, computer software), printed circuit board and storage device programming. Experience with reading and interpretation of manufacturing documentation (work instructions, procedures, drawings, assembly instructions, acceptance test procedures). Strong verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of basic video formats and functional testing. Ability to read and understand wiring and circuitry schematics. Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical devices. Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee primarily works in a factory environment with constant contact/exposure to noise, chemicals and machinery. Constantly positions self to assemble product. Constantly operates assembly and test equipment such as torque drivers, brass hammers, and x-acto knives. Occasionally moves materials and parts typically weighing up to 50 pounds from stockroom to production floor. Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment. Constantly moves about the production floor and stockroom to access materials and assembly tools.
