What to Expect
As a Construction Project Manager, you will manage construction and infrastructure projects that support Tesla's manufacturing and facilities expansion. Working closely with senior project managers, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you will drive day-to-day project execution across planning, scheduling, cost control, safety, and quality. This role is ideal for an experienced project manager ready to deliver high-impact work in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead construction projects end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and field execution
- Coordinate daily with architects, engineers, GCs, subcontractors, and internal Tesla stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and look-ahead plans with clear communication to all parties
- Track performance against schedule, cost, quality, and safety targets, escalating risks proactively
- Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations and Tesla standards
- Manage contractor procurement, bid reviews, change orders, and subcontractor performance
- Conduct site walks, quality inspections, and progress meetings; maintain full project documentation through closeout
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in construction project management or field roles
- Demonstrated success delivering commercial, industrial, or manufacturing construction projects on time and within budget
- Working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Procore, Bluebeam or similar)
