DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license. Applicable clinical laboratory experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with SoftLab LIS and Epic. Experience with automated instrumentation including Iris iChem/iQ, GEM4000, TEG, and Roche Cobas. Generalist experience in Hematology and Chemistry. Previous hospital laboratory experience. Experience with Sysmex and ACL Top hematology analyzers. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $124,278 - $124,278 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $59.52 - $59.52 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
