Description: NSI requires a Journeyman Maintenance Level Reform Subject Matter Expert (SME) Lead to support the Cost and Demand Management (CDM) Division. This is a senior technical leader responsible for identifying cost reduction opportunities and optimizing material demand across the Naval Aviation Enterprise. This role supervises a geographically dispersed team of regional SMEs, develops initiatives to enhance repair capabilities, and provides strategic direction for I-Level reform. The SME Lead analyzes maintenance data, validates repair codes, conducts cost-benefit analyses, and coordinates with supply and engineering stakeholders. The position requires expert-level knowledge of naval aviation maintenance and supply, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive organizational change. Regular travel and telework are required, and the role demands active participation in team meetings and senior leadership forums.
Location: Lemoore, CA Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, logistics, or related technical/business field required. Certifications: Relevant technical certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, PMP) highly desirable. Military technical training and NEC qualifications that demonstrate comprehensive understanding of maintenance processes. Advanced maintenance management course completion (AMQC, etc.) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 12 years' experience in naval aviation maintenance and supply, with at least 7 years at the Intermediate Maintenance Level or equivalent management position. Experience must include direct involvement with repair capability decisions, ICRL management, and maintenance process improvement. Leadership experience supervising technical personnel, preferably in geographically dispersed teams. Experience managing enterprise-level programs or initiatives preferred. Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
