Product Owner: General Analytics Use Case Delivery Location: New York, NY Schedule/Shift: Remote initially; hybrid, approximately 1-2 days per week onsite or as needed Pay: $70-$80 per hour 26-10470 Job Summary The Product Owner will lead an Agile development pod delivering analytics-driven capabilities across Customer Operations. This role will own analytics use cases from business requirements through production delivery, including roadmap development, backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization. The Product Owner will partner with business, analytics, data, engineering, and technology teams to translate operational challenges into practical data-driven solutions that provide measurable business value. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience delivering analytics or data-driven products rather than experience limited to traditional application development. Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner for an Agile development pod delivering analytics-enabled capabilities for Customer Operations.
- Own analytics use cases from concept and requirements through production delivery.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, opportunities, and desired outcomes.
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps for assigned analytics use cases.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, technical dependencies, and delivery priorities.
- Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the development pod has clear requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with analytics, data, engineering, and technology teams to move use cases from concept through implementation.
- Serve as the connection point between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Support prioritization and tradeoff decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with Customer Operations stakeholders across areas such as Customer Service, Contact Center, Credit & Collections, and Back Office operations.
- Develop an understanding of business processes, customer journeys, and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities where analytics and data can improve customer service, operational efficiency, decision-making, and business outcomes.
- Work with data and analytics teams to understand data availability, quality, relationships, and limitations.
- Define data requirements and dependencies for analytics use cases.
- Work with enterprise data from multiple systems and data sources.
- Develop a working understanding of customer and operational data within enterprise customer information systems.
- Support the integration of additional enterprise and niche data sources into the analytics environment.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
- Review completed functionality to ensure it meets defined business requirements.
- Remove or escalate delivery blockers and manage cross-functional dependencies.
- Monitor delivery progress and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Use stakeholder feedback, analytics, and delivery results to identify opportunities for product and process improvement.
- Establish repeatable approaches for delivering analytics use cases across Customer Operations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Owner, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience owning and delivering analytics or data-driven use cases from requirements through implementation.
- Experience leading or working with an Agile development pod.
- Strong backlog management and product prioritization experience.
- Strong requirements-writing skills, including user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working with analytics, data, reporting, or business intelligence teams.
- Experience working with enterprise data from multiple systems or data sources.
- Strong ability to translate business needs and operational challenges into clear technology requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working across business, analytics, data, engineering, and technology teams.
- Experience with Agile product management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to understand data availability, quality, relationships, dependencies, and limitations.
- Oracle CC&B or comparable customer information system experience preferred.
- Experience supporting Customer Service, Customer Operations, Contact Center, Credit & Collections, or Back Office functions preferred.
- Experience with customer analytics, operational analytics, business intelligence, or data products preferred.
- Experience in utilities, telecommunications, financial services, or other complex enterprise environments preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments preferred.
Work Experience
- 3+ years of Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Owner, or similar experience required.
- Proven analytics or data-driven product delivery experience required.
- Agile development pod experience required.
- Experience working with analytics and data teams required.
- Customer Operations, Contact Center, Credit & Collections, Back Office, or comparable operational business experience preferred.
- Oracle CC&B or comparable customer information system experience preferred.
