Job Summary
The Electronics Assembler II performs precision electronic and electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment. This role assembles circuit boards, modules, panels, cables, wire harnesses, and related components using engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions. The position requires hands-on experience with soldering, SMT components, wire harnesses, and precision assembly using microscopes and specialized tools. The successful candidate will consistently meet quality standards while supporting both prototype and production assembly activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly of modules, circuit boards, panels, frames, cables, wire harnesses, and related subassemblies.
• Assemble components using engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
• Perform soldering and assembly involving surface mount technology (SMT) components and wire harnesses.
• Use microscopes for precision assembly of small electronic and mechanical components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other production equipment as required.
• Perform continuity checks and basic inspections on work in process and completed assemblies.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble electronic and mechanical assemblies as required.
• Support prototype and production assembly activities while maintaining established quality standards.
• Follow ESD, FOD, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
• Document production activities in applicable manufacturing systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of related electronics, electromechanical, or precision assembly experience.
• Hands-on experience with electronic soldering, SMT components, wire harnesses, or cable assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
• Experience using microscopes for precision assembly.
• Ability to perform detailed, hands-on assembly work while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Thursday from 6:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• J-STD-001/J-Standard soldering certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with RF, communications, navigation, or similar electronic systems preferred.
• PCB rework or modification experience involving dense SMT circuit boards preferred.
• Prototype cable or wire harness assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing execution or ERP systems such as SAP or Solumina preferred.
• Familiarity with ESD, FOD, ITAR, and/or AS9100 manufacturing requirements preferred.

Work Experience

• 2+ years of electronics, electromechanical, or precision assembly experience required.
• Hands-on electronics assembly and soldering experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with SMT, wire harnesses, PCB rework, or prototype assembly preferred.
