Float Phlebotomist II Location: NC - Winston-Salem - 2530 Empire Drive This a float position and will travel to King, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, Kernsville and Lexington Duration: 3+ Months Schedule: 1st Shift, 6 AM-6 PM; 8-hour shifts depending on location HM is looking for skilled phleb with 2 to 4 years of experience. Will need to have drawing skills with both pedi and geri age groups. Position Responsibilities Perform blood draws, including venipuncture using straight and/or butterfly needles. Provide phlebotomy services across PSC and IOP locations. Travel between King, Winston-Salem, Thomasville, Kernersville, and Lexington locations as needed. Perform blood draws on pediatric and geriatric patients. Work independently at locations where the phlebotomist may be the sole staff member. Properly collect, label, process, and handle patient specimens according to established procedures. Verify patient information and specimen requirements to ensure accurate collection and processing. Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements. Provide professional and courteous patient service during specimen collection. Maintain accurate documentation and patient/specimen records. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Support workflow across different laboratory and patient service locations. Minimum Qualifications 2-4 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a fast-paced laboratory, PSC, or IOP setting. Strong venipuncture skills with both pediatric and geriatric patients. High School Diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation is required due to the float nature of the position. Must be comfortable working at multiple locations as assigned. Color vision is required.
