Graphics Technician

The Graphics Technician prepares and maintains customer artwork for offset lithographic printing, ensuring files meet quality and production specifications. This role collaborates with customers and internal teams to create accurate, press-ready files, provide proofs, and support efficient print production.

• Create, edit, and prepare artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop.
• Preflight, correct, trap, and output press-ready files for production.
• Generate PDF and hard-copy proofs for customer review and approval.
• Proofread artwork to ensure accuracy and print quality standards.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding artwork requirements and project status.
• Review job specifications and customer requirements to ensure accurate file preparation.
• Maintain job-tracking information and organize electronic files.
• Assist with press checks and graphics department equipment maintenance.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Associate degree in Graphics, Print Technology, or related field preferred.
• Two years of graphics, prepress, or print production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Esko Desk Pack, Heidelberg Prinect, and offset printing is a plus.
