Daytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal's prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a General Maintenance team member to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility. This hands-on role will perform preventive maintenance, general repairs, and facility improvement projects to help ensure the Speedway remains safe, functional, and ready for events throughout the year.

Working across the property, this position will assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, cleaning, and other general maintenance needs while responding to work orders and supporting facility operations.

• Perform preventive building maintenance and complete assigned work orders throughout the facility.
• Complete routine plumbing repairs, including addressing clogged toilets, sinks and urinals, water leaks, and leaking faucets.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, including replacing light bulbs and lamps and assisting with the repair or replacement of ballasts and light fixtures.
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Safely operate aerial lifts, machinery, and other equipment required to complete maintenance projects.
• Assemble, move, and install furniture and assist with hanging pictures, fixtures, and other facility items.
• Support general facility upkeep through cleaning, painting, pressure washing, and repair work.
• Assist with additional maintenance and facility projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED, six months to one year of related maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and repair practices.
• Ability to safely use tools, equipment, machinery, and aerial lifts required for assigned work.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, work orders, and other job-related materials.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills necessary to complete maintenance tasks and respond to routine facility issues.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teammates and other departments.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as necessary to support events and facility operations.

The General Maintenance team plays an important role in keeping Daytona International Speedway safe, functional, and event-ready. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on across one of motorsports' most recognized facilities while supporting the day-to-day operations and events that bring the Speedway to life.

This position regularly requires the use of hands to handle or feel objects and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear.

The employee must regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
