We are seeking to recruit multiple Customer Services Specialist II positions to provide exceptional front-line customer service and administrative support to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Customer Services Specialist II serves as a key member of the University Advisement Center team and plays a critical role in supporting student success by coordinating office operations, managing communications, assisting with student processes, and contributing to a welcoming, efficient, and student-centered environment. A successful candidate for this position must demonstrate strong customer service skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors seeking information and assistance.

  • Provide information regarding university policies, procedures, academic forms, advisement services, and campus resources.

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing phone communications and respond to general inquiries.

  • Schedule appointments and assist with front desk operations for advising staff.

  • Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate purchasing requests as needed.

  • Coordinate conference room usage and maintain shared office spaces.

  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of student records in accordance with university policies.

  • Collaborate with UAC staff and university partners to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of customer service, administrative or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Requirements:

  • Experience working in higher education, student affairs, enrollment management, academic advising, or other student-facing environments.
  • Experience providing customer service in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Experience supervising student workers, temporary staff, or volunteers.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience working with student information systems, appointment scheduling platforms, or related technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow up on issues through resolution while maintaining a high level of customer service.
