Job Summary

The Manager, Field & Network Analytics is responsible for delivering actionable insights that improve operational performance across Field Operations and Network Services. This role partners closely with operational leaders to develop performance metrics, forecasting models, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that drive informed decision-making and operational excellence.


Reporting to the Vice President of Field & Network Analytics, this position serves as a key analytics partner for Field Operations, Construction, OSP, ISP, Network Quality, and CNOC stakeholders. The successful candidate will translate complex business questions into analytical solutions, identify performance improvement opportunities, and ensure leaders have timely, accurate insights to optimize operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

Field Operations Analytics & Performance Management



  • Develop and maintain operational KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards that measure field and network performance.
  • Analyze service visit trends, dispatch efficiency, repeat truck rolls, first-time-fix rates, and technician productivity to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on operational issues and provide actionable recommendations to business leaders.
  • Establish standardized reporting methodologies and ensure consistent metric definitions across stakeholder groups.


Forecasting & Planning



  • Build and maintain forecasting models supporting field workload, service demand, staffing, and operational planning.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify emerging trends and proactively assess potential operational impacts.
  • Support annual, quarterly, and monthly planning cycles with data-driven analyses and recommendations.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve forecasting methodologies.


Ad Hoc Analytics & Strategic Support



  • Serve as the primary analytics resource for complex business questions and operational investigations.
  • Deliver executive-ready analyses that support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analyses and reporting processes.
  • Support special projects related to transformation initiatives, service delivery, customer experience, and operational efficiency.


Stakeholder Partnership



  • Partner with leaders across Field Operations, Construction, OSP, ISP, Network Quality, CNOCs, and related organizations.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present insights and performance trends to leadership teams and operational stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships that foster data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.


Team Leadership & Development



  • Lead and mentor analysts supporting Field & Network Analytics initiatives.
  • Establish analytical best practices, documentation standards, and quality controls.
  • Balance team resources across recurring reporting, forecasting activities, and strategic projects.
  • Foster a collaborative and customer-focused analytical culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) required
  • Master's degree in a STEM field, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, operational analytics, or related fields
  • Experience developing forecasts, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and operational reporting
  • Strong SQL, data visualization, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience translating business questions into analytical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Telecommunications, field operations, network operations, or service organization experience preferred

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $133,661.00 - $219,586.00 /year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
