• Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital (LURH) provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from health care conditions such as stroke, brain injury, and musculoskeletal disorders. LURH is the only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and accredited by DNV-GL.

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture programs, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements - i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
• ALS/ACLS certification (required within 90 days of hire; ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
