Our fundraising team at Georgia Tech currently consists of more than 100 professionals who are focused on securing transformative philanthropy (major and principal gifts) to support the strategic priorities of the Institute and its colleges, schools, and programs, including Georgia Tech Athletics. For fiscal year 2024 (closed 6/30/2024), the Development team's efforts resulted in over $243 million in new gifts and commitments in support of Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech which will secure more than $2 billion in new commitments and gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations. Job Summary

Responsible for providing excellent customer service to major donors through providing stewardship, management, and recognition to donors and prospective donors. The individual prepares customized communications and assists with the office management of the Gift Planning team. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: Senior development leadership, staff, major donors, prospects, and their advisors, and Georgia Tech Foundation (GTF) officers.

This position typically will advise and counsel: Senior Development leadership, staff, major donors, prospects, and their advisors, and Georgia Tech Foundation (GTF) officers.

This position will supervise: Assigned staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Prepare well-written, timely, and accurate acknowledgement of receipt of major gifts and commitments, including support materials, over the signature of the President of the Institute and the Vice President for Development.

Job Duty 2 - Prepare customized marketing and communications to major donors in collaboration with Institute Communications.

Job Duty 3 - Serve as office manager for team of front line gift planning officers and support staff, facilitating communications and prioritizing workflow. Will supervise administrative support staff.

Job Duty 4 - Coordinate documentation for all planned gifts to the Institute and its affiliated organizations.

Job Duty 5 - Process and record all planned gift transactions received by the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Georgia Tech Foundation.

Job Duty 6 - Support planning of major donor events in collaboration with Development Stewardship. Oversees the execution and outcome of annual donor engagement activities and follow-up stewardship.

Job Duty 7 - Coordinates the creation and funding of Charitable Gift Annuities with the Georgia Tech Foundation and Kaspick.

Job Duty 8 - Creates and manages weekly reporting of gift and prospect activity for Assistant Vice President of Gift Planning and Associate Vice President of Principal Gifts.

Job Duty 9 - Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge with the Advance alumni/development system; prior experience in planned giving, trust department, or financial planning

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree

Proposed Salary

Proposed Salary: $68,558 - $87,000. Commensurate with education and experience.

Skills
This job requires demonstrated understanding of the role and process of the development function in a university environment

Demonstrated excellent writing, editing, and verbal skills with previous experience meeting deadlines

Minimum 3 years experience in marketing, donor stewardship, donor relations, communications, and project management

Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with donors, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and others

Advanced ability to build and effectively utilize relationships with faculty, staff, and vendors to enable project completion

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong initiative and self-motivation

A solid knowledge of PC applications and operations.
