Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director Strategy and Performance Excellence, the Senior Innovation and Continuous Improvement Coach will have responsibility for assisting the Executive Director with driving continuous process improvement across Howard County Medical Center through the application of Lean Thinking, to create a culture of operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years minimum experience in a full-time Lean/6-Sigma role in a hospital or other healthcare setting, or 1 year Lean/6-Sigma in healthcare + 5 years Lean/6-Sigma in a non-healthcare environment.
• Master's degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, or related discipline required. Minimum of 5 years of Lean/6-Sigma experience in a healthcare environment may be in lieu of Master's degree.
• Green Belt certification required.
• Black Belt certification required, or must be attained within 1 year of hire.
• Must have proven track record and relentless drive for continuous improvement. Must be self-motivated, have a positive personality, and have the initiative and passion for driving project results. Must have the ability to lead, work with teams, be part of a team, and understand team dynamics.
• Experience working in a Lean Daily Management and/or Strategy Deployment system required.
• Experience developing and implementing a Lean Daily Management System and/or Strategy Deployment preferred.
• Experience teaching workshops for all roles in the organization, with class sizes as large as 20 students.

Salary Range: Minimum 49.01/hour - Maximum 78.43/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
