The Equipment Associate is responsible for ensuring rental equipment is safe, clean, properly maintained, and ready for customer use. This role supports branch and warehouse operations by inspecting, preparing, loading, unloading, and tracking equipment and inventory, while maintaining accurate records and inventory levels. The Equipment Associate performs equipment and warehouse tasks in compliance with safety standards, contributes to efficient order fulfillment and shipping activities, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Checks equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch
• Inspects rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensures that equipment is in good working order
• Cleans all equipment and maintains a clean work area
• Loads and unloads rental equipment, and prepares equipment for rental
• Reviews and validates all rental equipment being returned from job sites
• Verifies inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Reports on any quality variances
• Unpackages and stocks received inventory on shelves in appropriate zone bin
• Supports general warehouse operations by assisting with inbound, outbound, and assembly processes as required
• Engages in cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory levels. Assists in performing physical inventories
• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed standard work procedures, comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Reports on available stock, material that does not meet quality standards, safety concerns or potential hazards
• Supports order fulfillment operations by learning and performing order processing, inventory coordination, and shipment preparation activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Forklift certification preferred
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Diligent attention to safety
• Superior customer service skills
• This position requires regular bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching movements, lifting weights of up to 50 pounds, and standing for prolonged periods
