Join the Commercial Cloud & AI Technical Audience Marketing team and help bring Microsoft's most innovative customer transformations to life through customer advocacy, storytelling, customer evidence, and key marketing moments. The Commercial Cloud & AI Technical Audience Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to help scale Microsoft's customer advocacy efforts across our Commercial Cloud and AI portfolio. In this role, you will work across product marketing, field, communications, events, and customer-facing teams to identify, develop, and activate customer stories that demonstrate meaningful business and technical outcomes. You will help connect customer proof to key business priorities, major events, technical audience programs, and marketing channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with some of Microsoft's most strategic customers while shaping how customer success is showcased across the company. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You are passionate about storytelling, technology, and helping customers share their transformation journeys.



Responsibilities
  • Lead development and execution of customer advocacy activities that support Commercial Cloud & AI business priorities, and major marketing moments.
  • Drive end-to-end customer storytelling initiatives, transforming customer successes into scalable proof assets including messaging and positioning frameworks (MPFs), customer stories, videos, and technical case studies.
  • Serve as the marketing lead for customer content and storytelling across key events and programs, including customer breakout sessions, customer showcases, key customer activations, and strategic customer engagements.
  • Partner closely with product marketing, field teams, communications, analyst relations, public relations, and event stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and activate strategic customer stories.
  • Own customer story planning and content development processes, ensuring alignment to business priorities, audience needs, and campaign objectives.
  • Manage multiple customer advocacy projects simultaneously, balancing stakeholder needs, timelines, customer requirements, and business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through strong program management, stakeholder communications, and execution rigor.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional marketing programs involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience developing customer-facing content, storytelling, advocacy programs, case studies, customer evidence, or related marketing deliverables. Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing, customer advocacy, customer marketing, storytelling, communications, content marketing, or event marketing.
  • Experience building customer stories and proof assets, including messaging and positioning frameworks (MPFs), case studies, videos, presentations, customer references, executive-ready content, and sales enablement materials.
  • Experience leading customer content development and activation for large-scale events, conferences, or executive programs, including customer speakers, breakout sessions, showcases, and customer engagement experiences.
  • Experience managing end-to-end customer storytelling processes, from customer identification and narrative development through content creation, approvals, activation, and amplification.
  • Storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into compelling customer-focused business and technical narratives.
  • Ability to work effectively with enterprise customers and customer-facing stakeholders while managing approvals, communications, and competing priorities across multiple teams.
  • Experience partnering with product marketing, field teams, communications, public relations, analyst relations, events, agencies, and creative partners.
  • Written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and content quality.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Project and program management skills, including prioritization, stakeholder management, budget awareness, and execution against deadlines.
  • Familiarity with cloud, AI, data, security, developer technologies, or enterprise software solutions preferred.
  • Passion for customer success, customer storytelling, advocacy, and showcasing real-world business and technical outcomes.


Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $86,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $113,300 - $187,400 per year.
